This is my story.

From a young age, I never came to understand why I was so troubled and sad right throughout my teenage years and currently my adult years.

In my past, I had so many unanswered questions and feelings, about my self-destructive tactics. On May 13th, I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). This changed my life forever.

I have overcome my self-harming tendencies which is a blessing, and today I am 3 years clean. Today, I feel that I am in a better place to face my mental health struggles, and I am also pregnant which is exciting!

By finding healthier coping mechanisms, I am currently significantly happier. I do still struggle daily, and at times it can be difficult. However, through my experience, I would advise and say to those who are seeking help, that it’s okay to reach out because getting answers about your mental health does change your life.

In truth, I still battle my mental illness every day, but now I know there are positive ways to reach out for help.

I am so glad that I am here to see the beauty of life, even when I cannot see the other side.
