This is my story.

From a young age, I never came to understand why I was so troubled and sad right throughout my teenage years. And currently my adult years.

I had so many unanswered questions and feelings, about my self-destructive tactics.

On May 13th, I received a diagnosis with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). This changed my life forever.

I have overcome my self-harming tendencies which is a blessing. Today I am 3 years clean, in a better place to face my mental health struggles, and I am also pregnant which is exciting!

By finding healthier coping mechanisms, I am currently happier. I do still struggle daily, and at times it can be difficult. Through my experience, I would tell and say to those who are seeking help, that it’s okay to reach out. Because getting answers about your mental health, does change your life.

In truth, I still battle my mental illness every day, but now I know there are positive ways to reach out for help. I am so glad that I am here to see the beauty of life, even when I cannot see the other side.
